"世事一场大梦，人生几度秋凉"，合上书是最终的感慨。没想到三月份的一半时光是一路磕磕碰碰蜿蜒曲折伴随着狄更斯笔下的Pip走过。起先没想过去记录些什么，心情随着不同故事的阶段起伏，花花绿绿的笔记竟超出预期。简单写些想法，相关的不相关的也算一个终结。
开始这本书前，老实说并没有接触过任何狄更斯的作品(Charles Dickens)，了解的也仅限于bbc的广播剧，迷你剧和各种简写版本。笔下的各种孤儿苦难，伦敦的迷雾和肮脏，下层人物的挣扎和上层金钱弥漫的花花世界等等是仅有的概念。如果说耳熟能详也莫过于每个人都能来一段的双城记的开头:
It was the best of times,it was the worst of times,it was the age of wisdom,it was the age of foolishness,it was the epoch of belief,it was the epoch of incredulity.
